With a couple of very nice wins in grade AA over some excellent competition, this week’s top dog, C Ya Heart Flush, really earned her stripes. The LaRosa Enterprises sprinter used a come from behind effort and a box to wire win to bring home the hardware this week.
In her first of two straight wins on May 3, C Ya Heart Flush, the almost three-year old brindle female out of Kiowa Sweet Trey and San Tan Cool One broke from the two-post in third position and moved back to fifth by the first-turn call. Although the break was only so-so and the rush to the turn even worse, Heart Flush made a big run down the backstretch to find herself one-length in front of the field at the stretch call. She went on to win the race by three-lengths and ran a very sold 30.49 over the 550-yard course.
Her second consecutive win came on May 8. The 63-lbs sprinter broke on top from the one-post and never looked back. She crossed every chart-call point by two-lengths, even the finish line. In this hot effort, C Ya Heart Flush beat some seriously good competition. She beat Tara Jackdaniels, one of GGP’s hottest greyhounds, and DLT El Matador, a very nice win for the Darin and Rod Neal sprinter.
Congratulations to C Ya Heart Flush and the LaRosa Enterprises crew for taking home this week’s top dog award. |

With another huge week of racing, the LQK Kennels inches closer and closer to the number one Gable Gulf Kennel in the standings. The Cam Hawkins trained kennel has used some very big weeks of racing to close the gap, which now stands at only six wins between first and second place.
This week the LQK bunch won 15 races in just 59 starts, while adding 8 seconds, 9 thirds, and 4 fourths. Included in the fifteen-win week were a couple of grade AA efforts, which helped them top the earnings sheet with a solid $8,930.08 in purse monies.
Kudos goes out to the kennel and crew at LQK Kennels. |
